First of the spring

On Saturday morning I found the first flower of this spring. This beautiful crocus is the pioneer of our backyard. :) Spring is finally here. Most of the snow has melted and the weather is warmer.


I started a new HAED... shame on me. But it's not my fault! The theme SAL at the HAED BB this weekend was a new start so I had no choice! :D My new HAED is Healers Touch. The chart is mostly green but of course I hit the brown patch when I started. :) I started it almost at the middle. I'm not going to stitch the black backround, I'm using black fabric instead (28ct evenweave). I only had some time to stitch this today. On Saturday I rearranged and cleaned all the cupboards in our kitchen and rearranged the furniture in the living room. Well I didn't do all that alone, my mum was really sweet and came to help me with this spring cleaning. My husband in the other hand left the premises. :D So on Sunday I gridded the fabric and pulled the threads and started stitching today after work. Here's my progress so far, not a lot :)

And this is how it will look like some day... at least I hope so. :)

Click click click and stash grows...

I saw a beautiful cross stiched wristband at Lennu's blog and she wrote that she bought the clasp from HelmiQ, a Finnish online shop. So I went to see their website and after couple of clicks these started their journey to my home. :) I bought clasps, locks, bands etc. Went a bit crazy but all these are so pretty! :D


I wrote earlier that I couldn't find DMC's bunnies. After that I thought there must be some somewhere and started googling. After a frantic internet search I found an online shop in Portugal that had them and the shipping wasn't too expensice. These cute bunnies arrived on Monday. One pink friend of theirs arrived a day later so she's missing from the group photo.


I wrote to Santa last year and wished this and that. I got that but was missing this:


Don't we all have moments like that? At least I have. lol Well this time I thought that I won't leave it to Santa and bought it myself. :) It came all the way from USA. I'll have my evening tea from this and maybe I have to bake some cookies too! ;)

WIP QS Day Dreaming Fairy - 13th of April 09

I continued stitching QS Day Dreaming Fairy, my SAL piece for HAED's 2009 SAL. I got about 1300 stitches done during Sunday and Monday and I am quite pleased. :)

Pink Bunny

A fourth bunny has found its owner. Yesterday we went to see our friends' sweet little baby girl and we gave her this little bunny. I stitched the bib with part of Cosmic Handmade's free chart "Carrot Patch".


Here's a closer look at the bib.I'm a bit sad that DMC has desided to drop this bunny from their collection. I would love to find a few pink, green and blue bunnies so if you know where I could find them please leave a comment. I have given these to my friends' babies and would love to continue that tradition, also with my own children in the future.

Blogoversary and 5000 visitors! It's time for a giveaway!

Two weeks ago my blog had it's first birthday and my counter shows I almost have 5000 visitors so it's time for a blogoversary celecration and a giveaway! The price will be a biscornu (or it might be something else since I always change my mind on things! :D).
