Advent Calendar - Day 7

Christmas exchange and some threads

I haven't had time to blog about these earlier. Both came at the beginning of this week and now here is some pictures.

I took part in a Christmas exchange. The package I sent is still on it's way so no photos of it yet but I did receive one from Jaana. She sent me a beautiful little pillow with a christmas tree design. She told me this was the first time she made a pillow finishing and I think she is a natural talent since it's so beautiful! There was also some marmelades, an angel shaped cat's eye (not sure this is a right word...) with my name on it, some red fabric, sheep charts and kettle holders she had crocheted herself. Lovely things, thank you Jaana!


I ordered some threads via Floss Fairy (Amanda, thank you!). She sent them to me last week and they arrived in a record time! Don't they just look so yummy! :) I think I will start stitching the Healers Touch (see it here) as soon as I've finished presents for Christmas.

Advent Calendar - Day 6

Day 6 and this time something not so Christmassy since today is Finland's Independence Day and I chose charts that are blue and white (colours of our flag ).
Small Blue Motifs are from Windy Willows. The path to the charts is a bit long, here are the instructions: Click the picture and you will go to the website. On the right sidebar there is a link "Free Chart" click it and use the user name and password given under the link, click the line "read more" under the picture and then click "The chart is here" link.

Advent Calendar - Day 5

So today it's the Day 5. Yesterday I received an email from lucieheaton.com about these gorgeous mini designs. They are free and the email said "Please feel free to share the goodwill and forward our festive gifts to your stitching friends after all it is the season for giving !" And that is exactly what I will do! :) Click the picture to open the pdf-file. I love that little robin!

Advent calendar: First window opened

dFirst day, first window... it reveals a new Christmassy look for my blog! :D Well actually my calendar had a picture in it, not a whole new look but I wanted to decorate my blog for Christmas.

All the new parts are from Shabby Princess.
Red ornaments on the trees are from Holiday Magic package.
Others are from Seasonal Sampler-Holiday package. I did some touch ups on the trees to make them darker and give them a bit more texture.
